What is speech therapy?
Speech therapy is all about communication, whether verbally, through sign language, or through a device (either electronic or non-electronic).
Speech therapy can include:
- SPEECH - is the way you pronounce different letter sounds affecting being understood by others?
- LANGUAGE - are your choice of words confusing for others? or do you have trouble understanding what others mean when they talk?
- FLUENCY - do your words get stuck, or are sounds or words getting repeated as you talk?
- AAC - this stands for Augmented Alternative Communication, and is for those who cannot communicate verbally but they can use a device to have a voice.
